Here's one excerpt:
Care of Milk in the Home:
1. To let the morning milk wait on the doorstep or at room temperature, increases bacterial content, reduces vitamins. So take the milk in promptly, and place in the coldest part of the refrigerator immediately, continuously.
2. Wash top of the container and cap, before opening or putting away.
3. Be sure to keep the milk always covered.
4. Never mix new and old milk or cream except for immediate use. Adding some of yesterday's milk to today's, means hastening the souring process.
It is a riot. And I cannot wait to do some canning and pickling! This book was also a reference in the 100-mile diet, Alisa used it as her how-to guide. Best $9.00.
